AboutWellness & Prevention, Inc.

How It All Came Together

Wellness & Prevention, Inc. was formed by Johnson & Johnson based on a set of unique internal competencies developed over the last 30 years through the company’s long-standing commitment to building a strong and lasting Culture of Health and Performance.

In 1978, Chairman James E. Burke believed that if Johnson & Johnson was to become the world’s leading healthcare company, it would need to lead by example with the world’s healthiest workforce. He believed that a healthy and productive workforce would mean a healthier and more productive organization. For more than 120,000 employees of The Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies working in 250 companies around the world, success has translated into reduced health risk factors, effectively managed healthcare costs, and meaningful strides in positive behavior change.

As part of our commitment to creating a strong and lasting Culture of Health and Performance, we have constantly evolved and refined our approach through continuous learning and improvement. This process of discovery has enabled us to leverage our research and learning to help other companies build a Culture of Health and Performance over a shorter time horizon. We look forward to the opportunity to apply our expertise, passion, and commitment towards a customized solution for your company.
